Somerset Split-Level

This project expanded and altered a family’s mid-century split-level home in two phases. The ground floor layout was altered and expanded to meet the family’s desire for a more welcoming entry and brighter rooms. A glass-box foyer was added, and the front roof line was raised and extended to include a covered entry and an enlarged carport with overhead canoe storage. A screened fascia provides solar shading. The new facade reinterprets the low, elongated profile in a contemporary way.

The scope of work also included renovation of the kitchen, bathrooms, and home office, a new storage shed, and window replacements.
